Welcome to Caffe Piazza

Caffe Piazza History

"The authentic Italian cooking in downtown Hillsborough!"

Caffe Piazza is a family owned and operated restaurant, founded in 1995 by Gennaro Constabile. Born and raised in Naples, Italy, he had worked in the restaurant business for over 25 years. In June of 1997, Gennaro hired Antonio Ruffa as a chef. At the time, Antonio had been residing in the US for only a few years after graduating from the Cullinary Institute of Vibo Valentia and moving from Calabria, Italy where he'd lived all his life.

Antonio eventually became Gennaro's partner in 2000. During the years they worked together, Antonio and Gennaro established many relationships throughout the Hillsborough community and surrounding areas, and also founded the nonprofit organization "Food for America". Sparked by a 24-hour marathon of giving away food or donations to help benefit the children effected by the tragedy of September 11th, the nonprofit organization is still running strong. Currently, they hold a fundraiser every month to aid and support local childern who need assistance.
